Aayirathil Oruvan – Really the One!

When we all think that Tamil film industry is not more than a skin show , Selvaraghavan has just showed us that what we are capable of. I went through many reviews online and there was mixed opinions. I think our reviewers have put up the “Reviewers Hat” for this film , when they didnt bother to do so when horrible films like Kandasamy , Vettaikaran came… How much adventure film have we seen off lately ? This is BOLD step forward and we should be giving the director enough encouragement to do another project. Instead we are doing the opposite. May be we are used to the same craps and we don’t want to come out of it…

The whole films concept is a beautifully carved one , the whole story which moves towards the secret society which is living on an island and underneath the rock , could easily make a critic go like ” Why the hell aren’t they coming out ? ” to prove that point , Selva had beautifully given a strong script which justifies why they are hiding. Kudos to Selva. I am not going to explain it to you… you figure them out!

The character development is excellent and all have done their best and have turned to be Magnum Opus for each actor ,mainly to Parthiban! His role as a King is perfect and he has showed how a the legendary Kings will be. His body language , his fierce eyes , his bold speech all makes his character to be remembered forever! Next best is Reema Sen. How many films in Tamil industry ever come out giving importance to the female lead ? Reema`s performance as a project leader, who is sarcastic , bold in the first half and the wicked , sex oozing cunning deceiver in the second half have just shows that Tamil industry have been under utilizing the talent skill of these actress.

Karthik and Andrea have done their best and there is no flaw in it. Particularly the way Karthik transform his acting skills from serious to funny looking character , even though sometimes remembers of his Paruthi Veeran character , is good to watch.

Each frame is a wallpaper !
Read it as much time you want …. Each frame is designed not pictured ! Ramji camera has played a vital part and the cave shot were a whole community lives were majestic and powerful ! I have never seen anything so beautifully depicted in Tamil films… Kudos to Ramji!

In particular the song “Ohh Essa” , was a treat to eye. Even though the song is somewhat inappropriate to the story , but it simply shows the creativeness and excellence in choreo and camera work !

It really needs talent to show how powerful the kings were in those times and Selva has done his best not to show it too much in this modern times. Too much on either side can throw the originally intended theme out of the movie. Selva Raghvan has excellently portrayed the raw power of those old Kings . The scene where he(Parthiban) handles 5-8 layperson single handedly shows the real power they had in those era`s. And in the next scene when a mother asks for the meat , the expression and decision of the king was also so well portrayed. It needs whole lot of guts and talent to show these in this modern era and that too in Tamil Films. He also excels in the fight scene between Reema and Parthiban and particularly when reema switches to fighting with sex as a weapon. How parthiban handles that was also a delight to watch. These are very new to Tamil Film!

Music by G.V was in right proportion and didn’t sway from the story.Remix of “Atho antha paravai polla” was very nice touch and movie goer will be really delighted ! Many were disappointed that their favourite song ” Maalai Neeram” was not in the movie .. Was it cut ? or will it be in Part 2 ? Selva only knows !!

I wouldn’t say the movie is flawless .. there are few.But taking into account all the grand stuff and beautiful story put in a Tamil Movie , I would gladly forget those flaws and watch them.

When all other films are either a copy or a crap , Selva`s bold venture is new beginning for Tamil industry. A new door opened for those who want to venture and take a plunge into the world of unknown. We have a very vast history of Kings , Myths , Adventures , If directors can dwell on them , may be we can see more similar interesting , new variety movies.Instead of seeing only the negatives of this film when positives are soaring sky high , i think we people should try to encourage these kind of ventures or else we would stuck with age old “Hero-Heroine-fight-masala song-villain-happy ending ” kind movies!

A Walk Into The Future !

Its always easy to predict future on a vast scale. But predicting events to the exact day is something of a mystery and i dont believe in it.Everything around us is based on interaction of NUMEROUS factors, not just your decision!Anyway , I will try to put stuffs which are sure to be a part of the future… shall we take a little ride into the future?

Entertainment is where whole lot of happening will take place and new improvements will be deployed. With recent film like Avatar shining the lights on the future films , we will never know what films will look like in the future. 3D is one thing which will be employed/developed /improved in the future. Imagine your empty room been filled with holographic images of a beautiful island or think where holographic picture will put you right in the war film , where are all fighting  and gun shooting will be whistling past next to you and did i forget to mention the 360 degree holographic projection ?

This is just a single point 3D holographic display. Think of a projector hanging from above the ceiling , a small one , just like a web cam and the moment you switch on it will transform your plain white painted square or rectangle room into a place where you wish to be. and dont worry the room scanner and automated distance finder will set the correct level of depth and volume for your room size , let it be as a big as a theatre or as small as a bathroom. Couple this with next generation audio of more than the current 9.2 surround sound, Tomorrows film will be realistic to the core.

There will be one speaker which will radiate sound waves around you , its currently in development. Its a pinpoint sound wave , particularly focused to your ears alone. this way you can hear to a particular sound without a headphone while a person sitting next to you wont hear a tiny bit of the song/radio you are listening to, but if he comes into the line of focus of your pinpoint sound wave , he will hear it. This tech coupled with other audio technology will considerably enhance the way we hear to audio in next generation movies. Just think all you need to is paint the wall white and just turn on “Centralised Control” – which manages all your entertainment from songs to movies to Tv programmes to even e-newspaper. you switch it , the projector turns your living room into anything you wished for. This can also be enhanced with motion technology where these holographic images will respond to your input,ie these motion detectors will detect your hand , body , face , eye movements and will input these to the system which is managing the projection of the holographic images, so the end result will be a 3D image in the air interactive medium!!!Ever wished you would check your mail just a little bigger , say of size of 50″ TV ? you will be able to do it in the future. Ever wanted to play games just like you will do it real life ? couple all the above said technology , you will have one exhaustive interactive gaming experience you will even encounter , transforming your simple room into a multiplayer arena , couple this with broadband connectivity and all your friends can be joining in for a total showdown against AI bots in the game.
Think , at present you web chat through a tiny window. With holographic projection and increased broadband bandwidth , who knows you might be sitting next to your loved ones who is 1000 miles away from you.

Lets take a little detour to the field of medicine….

Nano technology. !

Nano technology is the one which will have significant impact in the future. Nanobots – Nano sized robots ! Lets take a little example. A patient is diabetic and he needs insulin or other oral hypoglycemic drugs on a regular basis. what if he misses one ? yes surely there will be problems ? what if the drug he takes is inappropriate for the level of glucose in his body ? he will land up again in the problem. These are tiny changes in the molecule level , which no layman will be able to see or measure. this were nanobots will come into play. Once injected into the body , they will constantly monitor the blood glucose level and will release insulin at sub-micro levels to adjust to the normal range. So patient doesnt have to worry on what he/she must consume or how much he needs to maintain. all those things will be maintained by these smallest programmable robots. Also this will help relieve the patient who are on daily Inj of insulin, because once injected these nanobots will stay there in the body and release required amount of drug and eliminate the need for inj insulin. Once the job or their life gets over , either they will disintegrate or be excreted via urine. This is many years from seeing light , but nanotechnology is a fast growing field and has loads and loads of potential in it. This is not the only one. They will be programmed in such a way that any abnormailty like hypovolemia in case of accident or cardiac arrest , these nanobots will automatically call your doc and inform him the GEO-LOCATION(GPS) of you for immediate medical care.

Nanobots in the future can also be programmed to work as a antibiotic. Just like a antivirus for our computers , these nanobots will be programmed to destroy the pathogens invading the body. New variant of Flu ? just update your nanobots signature(codes) , that will take care of the new variant.

Why I Deny God !

Hi all,

Its been some time i have posted here . Finally this week i got my WLL Connection in my college , so even though not a big thing to brag about in the world of Broadband. But considering that I have been cursed with GPRS for all these years in college , WLL with 144kbps connection is something like a broadband for me

O.k for many days i wanted to post a entry on my favorite topic – GOD !

Very recently I read a book called ” God : The Failed Hypothesis ” by Stenger , is a really good book which takes both sides of the issues and analysis with a open mind ! This book really gave a insight on various issues that Theist have been arguing for all these years. It also gives a overview on where science is lacking.

From the very first beginning , science has been USED by theist to either validate their supernatural claims by twisting and turning the results and finding and making others believe that its God`s work. When science told earth was a sphere and not a flat thing , religion didn’t approve of it . But when later confirmed , religion was speechless and had to cope up with the new rule that ” EARTH IS SPHERE ! “ 

I always used to ask the very basic thing , which the great “Periyar ” also used to ask . ” If God made humans , Then who made God ? ” for this very basic question , many believers will either say ” its like that ..”, ” God is super power and he cant be either created nor destroyed …” etc etc . But they fail to see the obvious underlying truth here .

Bible has been revised many times throughout history. When Bible is something God created , and only proof for Christians to say Jesus exist , then who are we ( humans ) to edit it ? does man poses such authority to change the Book of God ? . Again people fail to see the truth here . Bible has been revised so many times simple because , there are flaws and unacceptable concepts which when questioned under rational view ,wont have a chance! , so simply to bypass this and to make bible more acceptable by everyone , its been revised , edited to such a extent that many scholars believe that the original bible doesn’t have any similarity to current version of the bible.Bible, Christianity was all established firmly in the medieval times to have a strong grip on the people by the rulers.!

Why is there a God ?

This is the question everyone should be asking and finding answers for. In medicine if a cause of fever( taking fever as a simple example) cant be found we term them as ” Fever of Unknown Origin ” . While terming it ,does it mean that there is nothing involved and that person who is affected is cursed and punished by god to suffer that illness ? or put it another way , since because the cause cant be found out , does it mean that there is no pathogen involved ?
It simply denotes that science or the test conducted couldn’t possibly prove there are any pathogens known or identifiable through the done tests. Similarly at those days when people used to amaze at the spectacular world , the night stars , rainbow , the nature , they felt that someone was behind it and it cant be achieved by human being . This false assumption later carried to be become the Super Power then became God and now it has became the tool to control people. When we couldn’t equate something spectacular things around us to nature or probability , we use the term “God Created it” . But actually what we see is product of millions of years evolution and natural process. nothing more.!

Many used to ask , how did we form ? if they could simply watch discovery a little more hours than other channels , may be they could cut back few questions.here are few links worth reading

When we face a problem we seek help! whether or not we ask others  is another issue. The very first when faced with an issue , we think   ” cant this problem just disappear …” or ” god .. please help me….” neither god or our request to help from within isn’t going to help . Instead of asking for help , we should try to analyze the issue at hand and solve it in a rational and methodical manner . Problems are the place where GOD is created and given powers. Problems are part of life and not God !

How many times have u wished God to give u suffering ? can he ? or how many times without asking god help , your problems are solved ? Asking God is just a placebo effect ! and it cools down your anxiety , fear for a while . As you can ask , if it has effect why cant we use God to relieve problems or atleast as said above to bring down anxiety ? Well to answer this question , I will straight away relate practice of Worshiping God to smoking or drinking. Its starts as small practice , but later it becomes the epicenter of the whole life ! Today the problem might be a smaller one , but when you are faced with bigger issues , instead of facing the issue , we go to astrologers and temple to seek help , which wont change a thing in the current issue! Instead of spending money and time on the things which has no effect what so ever and a practice which might become yours and also your family members nightmare should be stopped at the very small stage ! I have seen families spending huge sum on temples and rituals , even forcing their children to do the same . Instead they could either put it in a bank or give it to orphan`s.

Next thing people relate to God is Soul ! Even I was wondering how I could find a answer , after few searches and reading through the book i mentioned  earlier , i finally got the answer .When we think body and soul are different , we forget that soul is nothing but chemical reaction and molecules in action in the brain . To put it simple , when soul we say is not influenced by anything , i mean we all feel that we are someone inside a body ! right ? So when we are someone inside and we have the control over the body and we give commands .. how can a simple sedative put your untouchable soul to sleep ? This is true because we are not some soul as religion says or as we think .. and we wont be wondering here and there after we die , we are just the impulses , the chemicals , the molecules and which come into action. To further explain , we are highest form of Computer.! A computer can do the same thing we do taking that present days scientific development. what it cant do right now is think ! All other way we are more and more similar to computer , and that too is shrinking with advances in the artificial intelligence . And God has nothing to do here or create !. I might have failed to express the actual content here, but when you think in a logical way and with some scientific knowledge , you will know the difference between soul and human being as a whole. we are nothing more special than a ant after death, both decay as dust !

Even though there are loads and loads of stuff to explain and write , i think i will finish it here this time around and continue after few days later.
